Summer Spring 2013 Trend Report

Greetings fashion junkies!!! i blog thee from my brand new desk...at Woolworths!! yes yes..i got the job whoop whoop..at first i was soooooo scared and what not but when i got comfortable and was assigned my first task i was like..pshhhh i gots this... i decided to keep u guys posted from the inside lol...so yeah i was doing a trend analysis for Summer spring 2012 and this is whats coming your way from the Catwalks of  MiIlan and New York for Summer Spring 2012..so that means goodbye colour blocking....tribal....vintage and every other fad we've been following shamelessly!!..Yes i am here to save you from all you Faux Pax!

Things have gotten way simpler for the forth coming season and fashion has relaxed and most importnantly CALMED DOWN.....this coming spring is about comfort ,fit, relation and street.Clothing is more simpler and to the point!( Im so sorry Lady Gaga..nothing for you to jawdroop us with )

After Ramaging thru catwalk shows by the biggest names in Ready To wear (and dieng at the amazing looks whilst i was at it)from my findings i picked up 5 major Themes :
·       Monochrome
·       90s street-wear revival
·       Chunky Stripes
·       Active-wear
·       Simple Denim

MONOCHROME

Monochrome doesn’t stop with black and white. Anything portrayed as a single color with different shades can be referred to as monochromatic.keeping it simple and sleek is aleways the way to go .when in doubt go black and white.this look is great for any occasion and in any situation.Remeber the best fashion is always in those classic
90S STREETWEAR REVIVAL

With her sportswear-inspired DKNY collection for Spring Summer 13, Donna Karan captured what already seems like next seasons trends.Let us count the ways: white, white leather, white perforated leather, white neoprene dresses with mesh inserts. Add in sports bras, visors and distressed denim and you have NYFW summed up already, give or take a bumbag or two.
hot Brit models Cara Delevigne or Jourdan Dunn, the idea came to life once more.
That’s not to say you could find these pieces anywhere else. Donna Karan owns a certain kind of dressing and that spirit infused an admirable collection. Easy, chic and mainly monochrome, the finale gown summed it all up. Floor-length and fluid, its top was a swimsuit - fitted skin tight over the torso, cut away daringly on the shoulders - a very modern reworking of the designer’s famous ‘body’ which defined her for so long. Worn on
  1. STRIPES

So stripes are back AGAIN this tim e they are thicker and are done in more loose citing boxy silhouettes .so  this season we all stand a chance of rocking this look! no need to worry about them making you look bigger.the rule with stripes is the bigger the better!

SIMPLE DENIM

gotta love this hey untreated unwashed simple denim at its best

Look out for all these trend coming soon around august...lets hope our south african retailers will not fail us and will catch on soon....not to brag or anything but Woolies will never let u down!( yes i know I'm so biased) but ey we represent..have a happy friday fashionistas!
