Lanvin uses real people in latest Ads

Just when you thought there was no hope for the fashion world and the fight against misrepresentation's in media.Alber Elbaz has chosen a colourful cast of non-models for the latest advertising campaign from Lanvin.
Photographed by Steven Meisel in an apartment-like setting in New York, the characters range in age from 18 to 82-years-old, with the oldest, Jacquie "Tajah" Murdock, a former dancer at the Apollo Theatre in New York, who is regularly photographed for Ari Seth Cohen’s Advanced Style blog.
Other models include 62-year-old Tziporah Salamon and 19-year-old Rachel Trachtenburg.
The campaign was directed by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse of House and Holme and cast by Zan Ludlum. Britain’s Pat McGrath, who this season is also working with Diesel and Louis Vuitton, did the make-up.
An accompanying video will be released at the end of August.
Now isnt this just a great step towards fashion becomming less superficial and plastic to being more REAL? why display clothes on size zero models where as the real consumers are normal people shaped differently like you and I! i say three snaps for you Lanvin!
